We Are Celebrating 20th Anniwesary Of Our Company

I started my business like everyone else, but at the same time in a completely different way. My first residence was a children's room in my parents' apartment. I set up my trade license exactly on February 22, 2002.

 

In 2002, I worked at Slovenská sporiteľňa (Slovak Savings Bank) as a network administrator and I was also in charge of printers. When I saw all those toner cartridges, and it was still a good chunk at that time, it was a difficult task. Today, those toners seem very simple to us, but then it was an item that was supposed to be thrown away once it was empty. Well, it seemed to me as a great waste.

 

I started wondering if it could possibly be reused. Gradually, I came across some information that there was an entire industry focused on recycling toner cartridges. I recalculated it, and I constantly came to an end that it might be a good project, so I set to work.

 

I was trying to find as much information as possible, I contacted an English company and they sent me a parts catalogue at my email request. So, I ordered some parts and at home in the children´s room I tried to disassemble the toner cartridges.

 

I remember my first customer very well; he called our house and I answered the phone so importantly saying that I would look in the warehouse. And my mother would keep laughing from the kitchen saying that if they had seen my warehouse ...

 

At that time, it was very difficult to gain customers. That is why I was looking for the Yellow Pages, which was a telephone directory not only of households, but also of companies from all over Slovakia. As I went through that list, I guessed who my customer might be, and I called, called, and called.

 

I admit that there was a great number of phone calls. I knew I had to try to get clients elsewhere. This is how it gradually started, first within the whole Slovakia and we are currently trading within the whole Europe.

 

I didn't warm up in the children's room long, there are a lot of brands of toners on the market and each brand has many models. I simply had to look for some small premises when the children´s room and the garage were full. But in a year´s time theywere completely crowded to the roof too, so we had no choice but to look for other premises.

 

In the beginning, we just refurbished the toner cartridges or sold parts to other companies that refurbished them. Gradually, during those eighteen years, the industry has completely changed and today there is great interest in purchasing such cartridges from around the world.

 

I certainly wasn't the first one, but you could say that my company was one of the first ones.

 

At first, we refurbished around 25,000 cartridges a month, which was a very good volume.

 

In 20 years’ time, we have become one of the largest manufacturers and sellers of printing products. We are a long-term partner and a distributor of a major brand of alternative toners ORINK. Since 2007, we have been the exclusive distributor of DELACAMP for the Czech and Slovak Republic. Most recently we have become a distributor of TESLA batteries.

 

Twenty years ago, I had no idea what kind of company I would build in Svidník. Even in my best dreams, I have never imagined that the business I have chosen would feed me for twenty years, and not only me but even seventy other families.

 

I'm glad we've been here for twenty years. A really great team of people has been formed here, the employees are a stable part of the team, they are mostly satisfied and have been working here for many years. We try our best to do team buildings, celebrate the new year, welcome summer, we have various events so that my people feel that someone really cares about them, and they actually spread the good name of our company through their family members. I can say that we are one big family.
